Smooth satire about the class society at the beginning of the 20th century. This romantic adventure comedy subtly shows how out of touch the aristocracy was with life when it came to improvising in order to survive. The power relations are therefore necessarily reversed.
Up until the reversal of roles it is a hilarious comedy. After that the film is still funny at times, but the sharpness slowly seeps away. Cecil Parker and Kenneth More fill their roles in a delightful way. Sally Ann Howes and Diane Cilento (ex-mrs. Sean Connery) provide a beautiful decorum in this enjoyable comedy.

Nice film in which a British noble family and their servants are shipwrecked on a desert island. The film is set in 1905. The hierarchy that is turned upside down by the shipwreck is entertainingly worked out, but the whole thing lacks some sharpness. The tropical island forms a nice backdrop
