King Louis XIII is in power in France. The charm of young Bardelys (John Gilbert) is famous and his appeal is legendary. When told that there is at least one person in the king's court who does not fall for his charms, he goes to great lengths to please the heart of this lady, the beautiful Roxalanne de Lavedan (Eleanor Boardman). to melt.
