Reminds me of a similar movie, I just can't remember the name, I think that was also with Stanley Kubrick. This is a found footage version of how the moon landing is staged. I don't like the handheld thing, but the camera work doesn't bother me as much as in some other found footage films. Given the modest budget I have to say that it still looks quite nice, the atmosphere of the 60s comes across quite well. It is also played reasonably well and it becomes quite fun at the end. A small enough.

Funny.

The idea is quite well developed and also partly original. It is a pity that Opération Lune (2002), also known as Dark Side of the Moon, tells a much nicer and much better elaborated conspiracy theory . But let's get over that for the sake of convenience, then I can laugh about this. Perhaps mainly because of the student-like affair that the jokers make of it.

Pretty nicely worked out, the locations are just right - and clever how they did it. The trick to make the images look appropriately vintage is also well done.

And I believe the first found footage film that I make it to the end. That also says something.

The CIA suspects that NASA has been infiltrated by a spy who is passing on crucial information to the Russians. To expose this, three CIA agents pose as students watching a documentary about the Apollo program. To their dismay, NASA approaches them to collaborate on a Plan B, in case the upcoming mission to the moon fails. Entertaining as Matt, Owen and Andrew marvel at their upcoming assignment and the splendor of the Apollo program. Once it starts to focus on Plan B, the screenplay is a bit easygoing and focuses more on the technical aspects of a conspiracy than the characters and is considerably less interesting and amusing.
