Reindeer Games plot
"The trap is set. The game is on."
Rudy is in one cell in prison with Nick. Nick gets and writes letters to and from Ashley, the girl of his dreams, whom he got to know through the correspondence. When Nick dies and Rudy is released, he poses as Nick to Ashley. She knows nothing and they have a happy time. But Gabriel, Ashley's crazy brother, stands in the way of their happiness. Gabriel and his gang of thugs suspect Rudy of having inside information about a casino where he once worked. As Rudy tries to start a new life, he becomes entangled in a web of temptations and surprises that could kill him unless he can skilfully avoid them.

Nice action film with Ben Affleck who eats from the girlfriend of his deceased cellmate and therefore unintentionally comes into contact with Gabriel (Sinise), the disturbed brother of Ashley. I especially remember the darts scene. Also pay attention to Trejo's supporting role. Sinise in particular plays very strong. 4 stars, this film certainly guarantees a fun movie night

“Hey, Santa Claus! Welcome to the Tomahawk!”
Thirteen in a dozen action/thriller that has and retains its charm because of the actors and a lot of nostalgic value. The script is decent but you've seen everything before and better. You can even see the twists coming from a mile away.
But the story has a lot of plot twists so Reindeer Games doesn't get bored easily. And the actors led by Sinise do a good job. Affleck and Theron are certainly not bad either. The plot developments follow each other in rapid succession and the film has a lot of momentum. And Reindeer Games is also an atypical Christmas movie. Always a bonus.

Thriller with some humor and bad twists wrapped in a somewhat failed Christmas atmosphere. Nice to see but it leaves little impression on all levels. That's why there are too many clichés (eg robbers in disguise), and Affleck in particular is not really an actor that I am enthusiastic about. I had it more for Sinise, who always played strong roles in his career. A decent mid-range engine, no more.
