The much-loved Larkin farming family is one day unpleasantly visited by tax inspector Lorenzo Charlton who is determined to get back every cent the family owes the state. He just hadn't counted on Mariette, the farmer's eldest daughter, who knows how to change Lorenzo's mind with the help of her charms and a strong drink.

In the beginning I had to get used to the tone in which the film started, the humor is sometimes a bit over the top, but you get used to it after fifteen minutes! Paul Douglas occasionally came across as a bit like Rodney Dangerfield, at least the same way of acting and I wouldn't be surprised if Dangerfield took inspiration from this 
Debbie Reynolds is a real beauty in this movie! As a viewer you therefore understand why Tony or Lorenzo falls for her.
Nice feel-good film that exudes a wonderful summer atmosphere! More than worth it and without a doubt recommended.

Very funny comedy about a much less funny subject (the tax authorities) the beginning was indeed a bit strange, but when Randall makes his appearance, the film really picks up steam, one hilarious situation after another
is poured out over the viewer.
The eye - catcher here is of course the pretty daughter played by Debbie Reynolds who can also keep up well on the comic level .
