Original film, which in the end, despite the concept, makes little impression. Largely due to the lousy acting, a boring ending and few surprises. Once you get used to the plot, you can turn this horror comedy off.

But hey, the beginning is still intriguing.

2*

Wise meta-slasher that playfully blurs the line between our favorite killers and reality. Such a scenario, although an obvious variant of the already often mentioned C'est Arrivé près de chez Vous (1992) , is a golden foundation to build on. It is then an extra quality to make this fascinating for both seasoned slasher enthusiasts and the average horror viewer. Glosserman makes a few more style choices along the way that you might have your doubts about (switching from documentary to a traditional film form), but all credit to me for having the guts to try something like this. Moreover, everything was done with a very limited budget. Truly a cult classic that was 'rewarded' a while ago with a beautiful reissue on Blu-ray.
