The League of Gentlemen's Apocalypse plot
"To save their world... They're coming to ours..."
The fictional town of Royston Vasey is headed for the apocalypse. For the residents there is only one possibility to escape the final end. They must flee to the real world to find those who once made up the town and its inhabitants. A long journey with many obstacles follows.

Apparently the trio wanted to make a cinema film for a wider (teenage) audience than purely the TV series 'worshippers' (which I also belong to). This was already evident from the non-League of Gentlemen joke "the ejaculating giraffe that 'popped' his sperm over a crowd of people". So that didn't promise much for the fans. Fortunately, there was still plenty to enjoy from real LoG jokes (the dog with one of those mega things around its neck that acts as a kite) and some strong jokes from the regular characters, who only understandable to the fans.
But yeah, the story is pretty weak, and had to be accompanied by a lot of ugly special effects. And not enough airplay of my favorites Tubbs and Edward [are you local?]. Oh well, we can't have everything. Stick to the TV episodes, dear fans.

Wanted to test my DVD player on my new laptop... Worked perfectly... But this movie is rubbish... Nicely acted, but a super stupid story, with bad special effects... Childish... just don't watch .
