Feast of All Saints plot

"Born into one world, destined for another."

New Orleans, 1840. The sixteen-year-old Marcel, son of a white father and his black mistress, is ambitious but gradually he is confronted with the limitations of his origin. He cannot continue his studies and cannot marry the girl he wants. He revolts, but in the run-up to the war he becomes caught in the no man's land between the privileges of the whites and the oppression of the blacks.
