Karen McCoy, the nation's biggest bank robber, is released from prison after six years. She wants to start a new life and stay on the right path. However, she cannot find work because no one wants to hire an ex-convict. In addition, it is her fervent wish to be reunited with her nine-year-old son. However, her ex-husband has told him that she is dead. Then she meets JT Barker, who is in league with Schmidt, a high-ranking boss in criminal circles. Schmidt and Karen are old acquaintances. She refused to work with him in the past, nor did she respond to his romantic advances. He retaliated for this and failed her latest bank robbery, which resulted in her being caught. They kidnap her son and so Schmidt forces Karen to work for him after all...
