Die Trapp-Familie plot

Austria, just before the Second World War. In search of a governess for his five children, widower Baron Trapp ends up with Maria, a high-spirited novice. Maria puts an end to the baron's militaristic upbringing and after winning the hearts of the children, the baron also falls for her courtesy. Shortly after they got married, the baron lost all his capital due to the economic crisis. But Maria does not give up and eventually they cause a furore in America as the singing Trapp family.
