Under Solen plot
After the death of his mother, a man lives alone on a farm. Because he can't read and write, he gets help from a boy who was once a sailor. The latter claims to have had huge strings of wives on his countless travels. Then a housekeeper is hired.

Erik on the other hand was just a nasty guy and you felt from the beginning that his friendship wasn't sincere. The setting was fairytale with some very idyllic images by the water or in the field. The film is in many ways reminiscent of The Bridges of Madison County (Film, 1995) with and by Clint Eastwood.
