Fair share. Some of the fights are pretty fun, that stuff in the elevator or that fight with Tyson that really pops, although I still don't understand exactly what his role is. In any case, that is the weakest part of the film, the rather messy plot that also resembles previous films. And it is never really exciting, for that you know that Ip-Man wins anyway and the almost scary calm he exudes also gives a kind of cold approach, although Yen still carries the film with ease, especially in the more emotional scenes with his wife. 3.0*.

ps I wonder what is the reason of so many movies about Ip-Man lately? Isn't that because this is a bit of a man of justice, a kind of hero against injustice and oppression, and now that China is again emphatically reporting that they are falling back on this? Anyone have an idea?

There is nothing wrong with the choreography of the fights, but they are performed quite mechanically, which makes it feel more like a ballet than a fight. The story also leaves much to be desired in every way, but the fight with Mike Tyson is quite a bright spot in this routine sequel. Only for the most persistent fans of martial arts.
