"It's Judy! Lighting up the lonely stage!"
Jenny Bowman (Judy Garland) is a successful singer who, while booked at London's Palladium, visits her ex-husband David Donne (Dirk Bogarde) to see her son Matt again. She spends time with Matt while his father is in Rome. When David returns, Matt is torn between his loyalty to his father and his love for his mother.
