Road to Rio plot
"Take a New Year Cruise to Rio with the Screen's Top Laughter Trio!"
Musicians Scat Sweeney (Crosby) and Hot Lips Barton (Hope) end up on a boat to Rio de Janeiro as stowaways after accidentally setting up a circus tent. There they meet Lucia (Lamour), who threatens to be married off against her will under hypnosis. They quickly teach three local street performers some hip American words ('You're in the groove, Jackson!' ) and start an 'all-American' band, who can provide the music for the wedding party. And now try to prevent the marriage...
