Ever since FBI Agent Gracie Hart (Sandra Bullock) went undercover in a beauty pageant, she's become a real celebrity. Instead of chasing the crooks, she now runs back and forth from hair salon to talk show promoting her book. The FBI sees her as the new and attractive figurehead of the organization. But when her good friends Cheryl and Stan are kidnapped, they can't stop Gracie from diving into the dress-up box again. And while she doesn't get along very well with her female colleague Sam, they go undercover together in the bustling show city of Las Vegas.

Disappointing sequel in which Gracie Hart has become the showpiece of the FBI. Little is left of the character of part 1, and this makes the film less funny. The plot is not particularly interesting and the humor is also on the bland side. Even Sandra Bullock is less fun here.

Continuation.
I won't be able to remember much about the first part, this second part doesn't really change that much. The entire series is actually quite unremarkable, despite Bullock's frantic efforts to make her character an iconic figure. It doesn't really come out well with these kind of basic films.
What makes this film less than its predecessor, however, is that the really cuter moments are now missing. Without those jumping scenes, there is actually a very flat film that keeps on sticking to the same level, and that is rather a moderate level. There is always something in it that is big enough not to become completely boring, but also not enough to really keep up with you.
I'm afraid you can't say much more than that about the film. The acting is decent, the story runs okay, but the film actually doesn't have a single scene that will stay with you as a viewer. This complete and annoying lack of highlights makes Miss Congeniality drown below mediocrity.
