Rosamunde Pilcher - Das Ende eines Sommers plot

Jane lives with her father in California but misses life in Scotland, where she grew up. When her grandmother's lawyer shows up one day asking why Jane hasn't responded to her grandmother's letters and invitations, it becomes clear to her that her father has been hiding this mail from her all along. Jane travels to Scotland with the lawyer and is looking forward to seeing her cousin Sinclair again, but it soon becomes apparent that he has become quite the selfish man, after the family estate.
