Yes, what is indeed striking is the animation and drawing style. The backgrounds are beautiful and very atmospheric. But the characters themselves also look very good, a bit classic. The story is also good, especially for a children's film. Louisiana is a perfect place for this kind of film and the whole 'swamp' atmosphere is well developed. I think it can sometimes even get a bit intense for children, and there are sometimes really grisly scenes.
And as has often been said below, this really is the best Scooby-Doo cartoon.

This film used to come up quite often and for me it is pure childhood sentiment.
A very nice continuation of the TV series with some real monsters this time for a change.
For those who like Scooby Doo, this is a pretty cool movie that is a little less "traditional" than the series. Pretty nicely done.
