When Nino (Jacob Derwig) tells his sisters Wanda, Sonja and Michelle that he is getting married to his girlfriend Bo, all three are speechless. Not only because they thought he was gay, but also because by getting married he inherits the hotel Paraiso in Portugal. The hotel they all thought they were entitled to... The three sisters plot to sabotage the wedding until they are invited by Bo to help her with the wedding.

But to be honest, the first half of the film is very bad. Banal humor, annoying characters, terribly boring.
I just watch a movie, if necessary by multi-tasking. But the second half of Zus & Zo was completely different. Strong humor, the characters became solid warm and serious characters, it even became compelling.
1.5* for the first half, 4* for the last part. But a strong lock is half the battle you can say now and then. 3*, very unfortunate for the extremely weak first half. Perseverance was once rewarded.

Film was disappointing, especially given the Golden Calf and Oscar nomination.
Story is not that realistic, but the sisters do their best.
Halina Reijn is having fun!
Furthermore, terrible hair, with all sisters and voice of Boermans is a drama!!
Very nice song by Sarah Bettens during the (much too happy ending) credits.

Reasonable film in which three sisters try to thwart their gay brother's upcoming marriage to a woman. An entertaining story with many side-plots (each character's problems come to pass). A nice mix of drama and humor, but a bit long-winded here and there. The cast is doing just fine.
