The least of all the 'Man' movies. Skeleton Man is mostly uninspired and has a script that jumps from one thing to another and is just a big mess. There is really nothing fun to experience here. By the way, never knew that trees give off sparks when shot at.

Great B movie. For the ultimate Predator rip off I have to refer you to Robowar - Robot da Guerra (Film, 1989), but this Skeleton Man is a good 2nd.
Cool opening scene and that level and pace is actually maintained throughout the film. It is never boring and there are surprisingly many practical gore effects. The Skeleton rider is great.
To my great surprise, Michael Rooker is the squad leader. I laughed my head off. About the most incompetent commando I have ever seen. If you are part of his squad, you know for sure that you will not survive the mission.
At many points it is insanely clumsy. Some of the so bad its good moments are Michael Rooker doing a cinematic jump but accidentally getting caught and falling hard on his face (with accompanying groan) and they didn't do a 2nd take. You also have huge continuity errors and corpses blinking.
The absolute pinnacle is reached during the disappearance of Casper van Dien. It was as if he suddenly disappeared from the set and they wrote him out by means of reused images, stock footage and a crashing truck (wtf????). Truly bizarre. You have to see it to believe it.
Definitely one in the so bad its good category. A cheesy monster, gore, action, unintentionally hilarious scenes and Michael Rooker. Top entertainment and not a dull moment.
