"The most swashbuckling screen adventure in a decade!"

Pierre St. Laurent returns home after a campaign in India. However, his mansion has been expropriated and is inhabited by a young countess who promptly shows him the door. The expropriation turns out to be the idea of the Vicomte de Narbonne. The Countess proposes the following to Pierre: if he brings her a valuable gem, which the Vicomte has stolen from her family, he will get his property back.
