I Banchieri di Dio plot
Film about the true scandal surrounding the Banco Ambrosiano, an Italian bank that had close ties to the Vatican. When the bank gets into financial trouble, a worldwide network of fraud and corruption is exposed. International companies, politicians and also the Vatican play a dubious role in this. Bank president Roberto Calvi, better known as 'God's Banker', may be able to explain, but he is found under a London bridge. The official reading is suicide.
