"Controversy...What Controversy?"
Fahrenheit 9/11 deals with the alleged relationship between the families of George Bush on the one hand, and the families of Osama bin Laden on the other. The film starts shortly after the controversial election results of November 2000. Al Gore accepted the defeat and George Bush became the new president of the United States. We follow Bush during his first months 'in office' until the day when the United States experiences the worst terrorist attacks in its history: September 11? Moore analyzes the period after the attacks: the overthrow of the Taliban regime in Afghanistan and Moore particularly takes a hard look at the impetus for the war in Iraq.

"Who's your daddy?"
Power, power, power, money, money, money!
Very sarcastic image and mockingly told by Moore about the course of events around 9/11 and the aftermath that followed. The documentary is not so much about 9/11 itself, but largely about Bush's "failure" and the Bush family's relations with the Bin Laden family. Family relations and business relations seem more important than good decisions for the country. Can't think otherwise, I also thought that Bush is an unbelievable prick. 'Did anyone say; nice shot?' What an asshole, go read your book, 'My pet goat'.
As said before, Moore paints a pretty sarcastic picture, with some too happy music and a too happy tone. However, I think this is appropriate and that this is the right choice. Namely, it emphasizes once again the ridiculousness of what is coming to light. It's almost ridiculous.
One drawback to Moore's documentary and narrative style, it leaves very little for discussion and making one's own image and opinion. He has already colored the pictures in that sense.
