Atmospheric, sweet and colorful film, this Willy Wonka & the Chocolate Factory. It is primarily a children's film, but given Dahl's work it does contain some dark moments here and there and it is also very amusing for adults. But as for Dahl, this Willy Wonka wasn't even dark enough; he wasn't happy with the songs that were too sweet, nor did he think Wilder was a good Wonka. I can still get into the first one, the songs are not by definition the strongest element of this film. Sure, there are a few nice tunes, but it sometimes takes a bit too much time and attention. But Dahl also preferred another Wonka, while Gene Wilder is generally highly regarded in this role. Most of the characters in Willy Wonka are pretty straightforward; one is a sweet saint, the other a selfish bastard. Wonka itself is right in the middle. He is friendly, but extremely cynical and you never really get to grips with him. Fantastic role by Gene Wilder, without a doubt the highlight of this film. Although the first part of the movie, which he isn't in yet, is surprisingly fun.

3.5 stars.

A classic, the first time I ever saw Gene Wilder. He therefore plays a memorable role as the half-crazy Willy Wonka. Nice how the children are not spared in this film. There is a real Disney atmosphere, some songs are unforgettable.

youth film

time does not stand still the films from our youth are now almost all made with computers

also liked this movie a lot better than the remake the guys in this movie and the cast was much better than the new remake version of this movie also the songs were pleasant to listen to it seemed more like a movie for kids than the remake . this movie also had a message in it at least if you could see it? you see a group of parents walking with their children with gene wilder in the factory where all kinds of candy is made but these children or almost all of them have been spoiled by their parents and every new thing they see they must have so was with that girl and the rich daddy she wanted the goose with golden eggs and because she didn't get it she started to get hysterical and throw everything to the ground and stuff and then she got on the platform and was thrown to the cellar or was she was a bad egg. and then we come to the last the boy with his grandfather was stunned when there was nothing left and he was put outside. but then other viewers wonder why what did he do wrong? the others were all spoiled but he was just an ordinary boy with his grandpa right?
