That lion 
This must without a doubt be the most amateurishly made film I have ever seen. The futuristic-seventies-style ending set (complete with random cardboard boxes!) is a design low point: murderous lights! I could still overlook the first half due to the presence of Bruce Lee himself—always good for corny glorification—but as soon as a doll falls down while saving a coffin (!), the film clearly starts hitting rock bottom. The tragedy is that bottom lies very, very deep, and the (cardboard) elevator down moves extremely slowly.
But I did manage to have a laugh!

Not good.
I didn't have high expectations for it either, although this was a film that had gained some status over the years. With Sammo Hung and Corey Yuen as directors, and Woo-ping Yuen as action director, it is certainly a film that appeals based on the names. Yuen Biao also makes a brief appearance, by the way, for the observant viewer.
But hard to find, especially if you want the Cantonese version. I'm not exactly a huge fan of Bruce Lee films anyway, and watching this with some crappy English dub wasn't something I was keen on. So I waited patiently, and after years, I finally got the chance to watch it in the original version.
A bit of a weird setup, that's for sure. Some old and/or unused footage of Lee to get the story going, then a dramatically bad death scene, only to switch to the real main character. Well, I knew beforehand that it wouldn't be a quality production.
But they really do overdo it here. The dummy on the helicopter, the lion, and the shoddy set at the end... it all feels very cheap. There is also hardly any sign of the quality possessed by the big names; even the fights weren't the most exciting.
Glad I saw it, but more because I can finally cross it off my list. Not a good movie.

Revised on Blu-ray from the Arrow Bruce Lee box set, with a choice of no less than 4 cuts. My preference goes to the original 86-minute Hong Kong Cut, although the English dub also evokes nostalgic feelings.
Really only worth watching for the opening scene and the finale in a sort of underground James Bond hideout. The fight against the Korean kickmaster Hwang Jang-lee remains awesome.
It is also interesting that deleted scenes from Enter the Dragon can be seen here, which are nowhere to be found even on the original Enter the Dragon disc. It concerns the scene where Bruce arrives at his room on Han's Island.
