Created with the intention of convincing Italy of the usefulness of exploiting oil and gas in Italy's soil. The first part shows the research and distribution of methane gas in the Po Valley (Cortemaggiore), part two is divided into two parts: about Venice and Ravenna, in which, among other things, a dream scene of a boy in a gondola in Venice, who dreams of a industrial future and a second part that takes place in the poor southern part of Lucania, where the economic disadvantage can be made up by gas extraction; part three is set in Sicily where the story of a young couple getting married runs parallel to the installation of oil rigs.
