Grool!

Very nice. Very recognizable too, although it is of course rather dramatized here. The film is full of fun moments and very nice dialogues with some great quotes. The story doesn't have much to offer, but it has enough elements to distinguish itself from many other films in this genre. The film is mainly supported and made better by Lohan, McAdams and their co-stars. Also the first time I could stand Tina Fey. Very nice role. Music is very well chosen, although it does fix Mean Girls a bit in the time the film came out. I haven't read the book, but it has been very well rewritten by Fey and does have some memorable moments. The message is on top of it though. Although that doesn't really get in the way of the entertainment that Mean Girls offers.

My new favorite teen comedy.

Watched the movie again and I have to say it was quite enjoyable. Mean Girls has already become a cult film. And rightly so with spicy humor and the necessary self-mockery. The clichés are simultaneously confirmed and disproved by putting them forward a bit exaggerated. The humor is also somewhat black and not all corny stuff. The cast is perfect and the result is a film that gives more than you would expect.

Picked up these Mean girls from the idea that he has just entered the Top 1000 list of 2021. All in all, this at first sight pleasantly surprised high school movie. There is clearly an idea behind the film. In addition, everything was reasonably worked out. OK, at times a bit caricatured, but the message was very clear. Envy, jealousy, egocentrism and belonging are central themes that run through the film as a common thread.

The rivalry between the girls takes on such high proportions between 2 camps that one becomes the same person she actually hates and fights herself. In addition, it must be said, here and there quite quirky and funny. Subtle and explicit humor alternate, but it is quite successful.

All a bit clichéd and inflated of course, but it is not so strange that there are various subgroups among the young people. Decent cast and acting too. Well worth the effort to see.
