Handbikemovie plot
Death contempt may be his motivation. Martin Bruch is confined to his wheelchair due to his illness (multiple sclerosis). A wheelchair that he moves with hand pedals and with which he plunges into the hectic traffic of our contemporary metropolises. Through a camera mounted on his helmet, the viewer experiences his death-man's ride like the ride on a roller coaster, making this film perhaps the most exciting experimental documentary ever made. Bruch did not limit his adventurous (and in fact life-threatening) venture to his home port of Vienna. Also in the News York Times Square, in Paris and London he let the roaring and roaring traffic swallow him up. A fragile man in an extremely vulnerable vehicle who can also roll down steep slopes without thinking about it. Moving obstacles like the escalators in a department store are not even the slightest obstacles. The world is clearly not designed for the disabled.
