The Monster plot
"Stay in the light"
A mother and daughter are trapped in a dark forest. They are tortured by a screeching creature, neither human nor animal. The relationship between mother and daughter is under great pressure. 10-year-old Lizzy has lost all faith in her mother Kathy, but tries to remain brave and fearless. Kathy barely lasts, but knows that only a mother's protective love, her most primal instinct, can save her daughter from that lurking in the darkness.
