Manuel Artiguez, a well-known bandit during the Spanish Civil War, lives in exile in France for 20 years. When his mother is dying, he considers secretly visiting her in Spain. But his worst enemy, the Spanish police officer Vinolas, sets a trap in the hospital where his mother is.
