At first I didn't know whether to laugh or cry. Man that's bad haha. The only one who can get away with scenes like this is Jason Statham. And okay Schwarzenegger too Although this guy may be there (man what a body), but he hasn't yet achieved that ironic, hilarious effect that Jason and Arnold have.

Although I do have to say that as the movie does start to get a little "better", as far as something can get "better" if it isn't really "good".

But I mean that sometimes it's just wonderful to watch such a lame action movie with hilarious (bad) entertaining scenes, which you shouldn't take seriously.

And secretly I had also turned it on because I was curious how Rico Verhoeven would be, but unfortunately he only appeared briefly.

This is bad though. Actually, I didn't expect anything else. Still, you secretly hope it's not too bad. Not so.

Of course it starts with the story. Come on, can't they come up with anything better? A worthless script. Acting performances are below average and JCVD (who wears sunglasses throughout the film) was also weak. There are some nice fights (because that's what it's all about), and that boosts my grade a bit. But the finale is so typical. How many times have we not seen this? Our Kurt really gets beaten up to blood (about 10 times) and then suddenly he's there again. By the way, this last fight has a bit more of a gladiatorial fight than kickboxing how do you make it up?

Against the advice of his brother Kurt [Alain Moussi], Eric Sloane [Daren Shahlavi] allows himself to be lured by Marcia [Gina Carano] into a very lucrative fight 'to the death' in Thailand. Opponent is champion Muay-thai Tong Po [Dave Bautista]. Of course that does not end well and so Kurt wants revenge. He prepares for his own life-death struggle with the help of Duran [Jean-Claude van Damme]. Don't expect too much, you will get what you expect.
