Dzien Swira plot
The film depicts a day in the life of a 49-year-old teacher who is disappointed with his existence. Adaś Miauczyński is a divorced but loving father, whose son lives with his ex. This frustrated, middle-aged intellectual hypochondriac is convinced that the hardest thing in life is constantly managing to get through the next five minutes. He is afraid of every new day. He is obsessed with the number seven: he drinks seven sips of water, washes his face seven times, scoops seven spoons of cornflakes into his plate. He is on a pill diet. After each dose, he drinks seven sips of water, and licks his lips after the fourth sip. He seeks the cause of his dissatisfaction with his friends, his ex-wife and his mother. His attempts to change his life are unsuccessful. His ambition to write poems is thwarted by his neighbor's lawnmower, and his other neighbor's predilection for Chopin. It seems very likely that he has no choice but to acquiesce to the situation or escape.
