In a Swiss retirement home, a publisher investigates a strange story. This complex allegorical story is about a man's quest for spiritual meaning. When God takes possession of the body of 1980s filmmaker Simon Donnadieu, his wife Rachel realizes something is wrong, but she remains faithful to her strangely behaving husband.
