Alice ou la Dernière Fugue plot
A young woman (Sylvia Kristel) flees her marriage and home. In a severe storm she has a car accident. She rings the bell at a remote country house and is warmly welcomed by the two residents, an old man and his servant. She can stay there overnight. But the next day there is no one left in the house. She tries to leave the estate again, but she can no longer find the exit.

Alice and the Last Escape.
Delightfully mysterious and steeped in the 70s and bearing the stamp of Claude Chabrol, showing that you can simply make a fine film with very few resources. Almost a forgotten art form. A house (if I understand correctly, Charles Vanel's), an old Renault, and a few actor-actress friends—that is really all you need. I can't readily find how much the budget was, but it wouldn't have been much.
Kristel gives a convincing performance, as usual. By far the best Dutch actress of that era, and how sad it is that she never received the recognition for it. The Netherlands at its worst.
