Difficult. I've already seen a number of Godard's films and apparently I'm stuck in the middle bracket. No outliers, but no real disappointments either. Yet I don't really like Godard. I have the same feeling about a Fellini, for example.

Technically certainly not bad, even daring, where some scenes seem amateurish (improvised), which they are, but above all they are intended that way. Sometimes a bit melancholic and an unclear story, which does not always make it easy to get through.

Nice cameos from Brigitte Bardot and Françoise Hardy. It is interesting to see the woman taking the upper hand in his films, just like in "Une femme est une femme".

This film is double. The film is a nice snapshot of the 1960s. We get many nods to current events and pop culture of that time. The new wave style takes you all the way back to 1966 with a youthful look. A film with some nice scenes and interesting dialogues. Even if it doesn't go anywhere.

But as I said, this is twofold, because at the same time it is quite long-winded and, in my opinion, not playful enough. Then the genre of the French new wave has better films. But the style is nice. Compared to other contemporaries, this film is unfortunately somewhat dated.

This film receives a surprising number of good reviews because of its '60s atmosphere. It is indeed quite nice, but not nearly enough to compensate for the rest of this 110-minute pretentious mess.
