After a wild night out with sexy porn star Ginger, Rick finds his house robbed. His situation gets worse when his girlfriend Tamara finds out and ends their relationship. Rick is then thrown out of his apartment by his landlord and decides to visit Ginger, who has previously asked him to come to Palm Springs. He leaves LA and leaves his best friend Jack with Tamar, unaware that the latter is secretly in love with her. Along the way, Rick meets the otherworldly Jules, whom he persuades to go with him to Palm Springs.
