This very average Elvis film has nice songs but a boring story. As soon as Elvis visits the world's fair, things collapse. Elvis' manager Col. Tom Parker (Dries from Breda, Netherlands) had a financial interest in this film in connection with promotion of the exhibition.

Good Elvis comedy as I call it. It has nothing to do with rock'n roll, but that is not the intention. With this they also wanted to make a film - a musical comedy - for the general public. The music is certainly there. The film music is often maligned within the Elvis canon, but in the end I think it is about fun pop songs and sometimes an edge of lounge/easy listening. Good. The story is in line with what can be expected. A touch of romance, a touch of humor, a touch of heroism, and an overall feel-good atmosphere. It's fun, it's camp, it's an Elvis movie.
