The Road to Fenix plot

For five years, "The Road to Fenix" follows the transformation of a historic harbor warehouse in Rotterdam into an art museum about migration: a place filled with stories about what it means to leave, travel, and start over. In the heart of the Fenix warehouse on Katendrecht, where millions of migrants departed and just as many arrived, rises the newest addition to the Rotterdam skyline: the stainless steel Tornado. A staircase, lookout point, and artwork all in one, designed by Chinese architect Ma Yansong.
