It wasn't that bad, but it does indeed deviate a lot from the original story, which was actually quite good. In addition, this film is again chock full of strange actions by the 'bad guys', which painfully exposes the inability of the writers. I give it a narrow fail, although I can also agree with the average. Please don't let them get the idea to make a trilogy out of it.

Mediocre action film. The story is a bit far-fetched and seems to have been concocted around the title. The execution is passable. The structure is reasonable, and the pace is good. The film never bores, but it does have a very B-movie feel. But it's definitely a top-tier film. The film has some reasonably exciting moments but also a few almost laughably bad scenes. Neeson does a decent job, keeping the quality just above failing. Visually, it's not really bad. 2.5/3.0
