Gharibeh va Meh plot

A boat drifts to an Iranian coastal village on the Persian Gulf. Rana hopes the lost ship will bring back her husband, who disappeared at sea a year ago. But the only passenger is Ayat, a wounded foreigner who has no memory of how he came to this country. He gradually becomes part of the community, until Ayat marries Rana, much to the anger of the locals. Ayat becomes increasingly paranoid after shadowy figures emerge from the sea, vowing to avenge his crimes from a forgotten past.
