A truly awful film. I'm not a huge zombie fan, but this was truly awful! Filmkrant called it a cheap-looking, poorly acted copy. As usual, I can't say it better myself: this was unwatchable.
Perhaps still interesting if you're a teenager...

A zombie film from Thailand! It's definitely worth checking out, though it quickly becomes apparent that it's not an unqualified success. The plot and characters are rather weak, and the sloppy editing prevents you from really getting into the film's rhythm. The action scenes and especially the makeup effects are above average, though, so this work constantly balances between two extremes. Ultimately, it's a close call, as the filmmakers really go for it.

A zombie movie combined with Thai boxing. That is a fun concept, and the film does indeed contain a number of enjoyable scenes, fights, and delightfully gory moments. Unfortunately, aside from the idea of pitting zombies against a Thai boxer, the director does little that is innovative with the concept.
Very occasionally, someone within the zombie film genre manages to come up with something original, but unfortunately, Ziam is not one of them. Virtually every cliché and every horror scene feels like something we have seen countless times before. Although the film is quite entertaining in that regard, it failed to truly surprise me anywhere. Even the cool addition of martial arts does little to change that.
