Fly Me to the Moon plot

In 1997, on the eve of the handover, young Yuen and her mother leave Hunan Province to live with her father in Hong Kong. Their hopes for a new beginning are quickly shattered by his drug addiction and criminal behavior, leading to constant disappointment for her mother. Tensions are temporarily eased when Yuen's younger sister, Kuet, reunites with the family. Over the years, the sisters struggle with their migrant backgrounds, poverty, and insecurity, while their father is in and out of prison.
