Vogezië plot
"The reunion you never knew you needed."
Ben and Lize, once high school sweethearts, both in their mid-twenties, meet again in the parking lot of their old school, in the middle of a reunion party. As they reminisce, they realize that over the years they have become opposites.

Tijmen Govaerts is a fine actor. Really getting to know and appreciate him in the uncomfortable Muidhond (Film, 2019). Here he plays a young man who watches his old fellow students during a school reunion. I could relate to his reasoning and disapproval.
Many go to such a reunion to see people again and pick up stories, but it mainly starts from the idea of whether you have made it or not in life. Not that everyone will boast about their pilot training, but as an unemployed person without diplomas you have little interest in that socially narcissistic environment. I also recently read in a book that feeling happy depends on where you position yourself in relation to your neighbors, friends, or other homogenous groups.
So interesting plot. Later there is a subplot with the pregnant woman in which meeting social expectations is weighed against the carpe diem principle.
