In his book, the adventurous Harold can make anything come to life by simply drawing it. After growing up and drawing himself from the pages of the book into the physical world, Harold discovers that he still has a lot to learn about real life and that his trusty purple crayon can do more hilarious pranks than he thought possible. I was pleasantly surprised by the film. While I expected something very childish, it was also quite enjoyable for older audiences. Great characters, a funny story (I didn't know it was based on a children's book), and well-crafted. Even Zachary Levi wasn't too bad. Based on the trailer, I expected a seriously annoying character, but appearances can be deceiving.
Great film for young and old.
