The Pumpkin Man plot
The residents of the town of Cromwell love Halloween. The town is best known for the legend of the Pumpkin Man, a demon that is rumored to be summonable. Teenager Catharine is obsessed with the legend and together with her best friend Jenny she finds the book that will allow them to awaken the demon. If they accidentally do so, it will cause bloody havoc in Cromwell.

Entertaining, but not very impressive Halloween film about a supernatural murderer with a pumpkin on his head. The opening has the most atmospheric moment, where director Ryan Sheets moves his camera to a dark corner of the room in which only a glowing pumpkin can be seen. It promises a better film than the result that follows, because it becomes clear that Sheets did not have infinite qualities and budget. The acting of the young cast members is nice, but not much atmosphere is developed and it does not want to be very exciting either. The fact that the final threat is not designed all that special makes a mediocre score, but it is easy to watch and has enough feeling for the theme.
