Zwischen uns Gott plot

Faith as an everyday activity of ordinary people is rarely taken seriously in cinema, if it is discussed at all. Usually it is inflated to extravagant turgidity or mercilessly ridiculed. “Zwischen uns Gott” takes a different and more honest documentary approach. Alienated from her Protestant background, filmmaker Rebecca Hirneise returns to her family's culture to better understand and come to terms with it. She starts a literal circle in which her mother, aunts and uncles have theological discussions.
