Qing Chun Bing Bu Wen Rou plot
This film looks back on a long strike at a Taiwanese art school in the 1990s. A time when students stood up for their artistic freedom and went against patriarchal authority figures who preferred conformism and conventionality. In fact, art history lessons have been completely westernized and Taiwanese art is dismissed as worthless. Previous social change – such as the Wild Lily movement of 1990 – seems to have completely ignored the system. Amid all the moral and social questions that the events raise, an intense queer love affair simmers between Ching and Chi-wei.
