Magpie plot

Ben and Anette's daughter Matilda has landed a role in a film with movie star Alicia. Ben has a soft spot for the actress and his wife hasn't noticed. While he develops an obsession with Alicia, Annette pushes her mental limits as she tries to keep the family together. Annette [Daisy Ridley] and Ben [Shazad Latif] are incredibly proud that their daughter Matilda [Hiba Ahmed] will play a role in the new film by the beautiful film star Alicia [Matilda Lutz], who shows her most charming side when she meets her. At first, this seems mainly intended to put Matilda at ease, but then Ben receives messages that indicate that Alicia is mainly interested in him. Annette senses that something is wrong. Ridley is the standout in this well-acted and suspenseful psychological drama that is undermined by a slightly too far-fetched final twist.

Tried this movie once and was pleasantly surprised. At first it was a bit of a wait and see which direction the movie would go, because it remained a bit of a guess, but in the end it was not bad. The ending was very successful and well found. The cast did well and it was cool to see Daisy Ridley without a lightsaber.
