Ganz Normale Männer - Der 'Vergessene Holocaust' plot
From 1947 to 1948, the Einsatzgruppen trial took place in Nuremberg, one of the largest murder trials in history against members of four death squads. During World War II, two million Jews were killed in systematic mass shootings. The perpetrators stood face to face with their victims. They shot at men, women and children - day after day, obediently and diligently, as if it were normal work. Tens of thousands of Germans from the Nazi police were involved. Who were these men and how could they commit such murders? The documentary also reveals the few survivors. How could they escape mass extermination and continue to live with the horrific experience?

Film addresses what I - and many others - have always wondered: How is it possible that so many hundreds of thousands of Germans actually helped with the Holocaust.
Various situations and circumstances are highlighted: the efforts of motivated people, Jew-haters, Nazi supporters and the recruitment of ordinary citizens for police forces working in the camps.
Throughout the various nuances of attitude and attitude, the common denominator remains that war conditions make people do things that they previously did not consider themselves even remotely capable of.
The attitude of the guilty, at whatever level, is also highlighted afterwards and is interesting, as is the entire film, recommended to anyone who is interested in WWII and the horrific part called the Holocaust.
