Ice Cream Fever plot

'Ice Cream Fever' tells the story of four women, ranging in age from their teens to their thirties, and their lives intersect around an ice cream parlor. Natsumi Tsuneta has given up on her dream and works there part-time with Takako Kuwashima, who is too young to know what love is. Saho Hashimoto is too shy to take a step forward in her life. She is a writer and a regular at the ice cream parlor. Yuu Takashima, in her thirties, is constantly in pain, although she feels worth living when she is at work. She often visits a public bathhouse, near the ice cream parlor. Her life is turned upside down by a sudden visitor: the daughter of her estranged sister.

Very nice.

Made me think of Tokyo.sora, but a bit lighter and more cheerful. The story of a few young women in Tokyo (this time 2x2 with two extras) whose lives cross each other sideways. And that wrapped up in a pretty fresh style, without having to lose depth.

Acting performances are very good, audiovisually it is very neatly finished and in terms of plot structure it is also good. There is some jumping back and forth, but it is not difficult to follow and clarifications later in the many add some extras to earlier scenes. Chihara can make more of these kinds of films.
