Nouveau Départ plot
Alain is as in love with Diane as the day he met her and has made it through his fifties without crisis. Even the departure of his children was a blessing. However, Diane has a harder time. She goes into this period feeling like she could die of boredom or fear. For Alain, who sees his marriage falter for the first time, it's time to ask himself the essential questions and to take a big risk after thirty years together: to leave Diane to rekindle the flame and the desire to find each other again.
